Mr. McGraw’s legacy lives on today through the Max McGraw Wildlife Foundation, now celebrating more than a half-century of land stewardship, wildlife research and innumerable fishing and hunting trips and target shooting; not to mention the tens of thousands of youngsters who have learned to love the outdoors through hunter education safety, fishing excursions and conservation education.
The Foundation sits on 1,250 acres of hardwoods, prairies, lakes, gravel pits and streams, near the Fox River in Dundee, Illinois. There is no finer escape from the hustle and hassle of modern civilization.
Equally important, the members of McGraw are a special breed. They believe in the heritage and importance of the sporting life, and passing it on to their heirs. That’s what makes them different and deserving of being part of the McGraw mission.
