Classroom visits to the Foundation are quite popular. We serve approximately 10,000 school aged students each year. Our tranquil, outdoor setting is ideal for exploring the world of nature and our place in the environment. All programs incorporate hands-on and minds-on activities that get children excited about science and the outdoors. On-site Programs are designed to be outdoors for much of the time. We can also bring our enthusiasm and knowledge to your classroom in one of our Outreach Programs. Below you will find a description of the programs that we currently offer. Custom programs to fit into your curriculum can also be developed. Cost of Programs Most of the programs we offer are free. However, some programs such as Owl Investigations, First Time Fishing and programs that are more than 3 hours in length have a nominal fee.
